Happiness is an inside thing. People look at a set of events or circumstances and it is the way that they perceive things that either makes them happy, or not. For example, if you like football and England and Italy are playing, and if you support the English side, you will probably be happy if England scores, and perhaps not happy if Italy scores. Or, you might say this is just a game, and it matters not a hoot who wins!
